Summary:
The rapidly evolving cyber landscape brings many evolving technological advancements, including Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI’s impact can be felt in multiple industries and all position levels. McKinsey estimates that Generative AI could add $2.6 to $4.4 trillion annually to the global economy with an estimated $13 trillion by 2030, or about 16 percent higher cumulative Gross Domestic Product (GDP) compared with today. By 2030, it is estimated that 70 percent of companies might adopt at least one type of AI technology. AI bring potential but also sophisticated cyber risks and threats that further increase the demand for cyber talent.
The high demand for cyber security and audit positions provides both a challenge and an opportunity. Job seekers can be challenged to secure positions due to the specialized knowledge and skills, experience requirements, and rapidly changing landscape. Positions are shifting from less repetitive tasks to those that require human interaction, reasoning and analytical skills, as well as niche specialized experience. It can take candidates three to six months to prepare and land that new position.
Our panel will share their thoughts on the job market, as well as the relevant skills and experiences that will help you plan and prepare for your career journey, whether you are at the start of your career or looking to make a change.
