Dinner Meeting Topic: Security: Next Generation Topics and Best Practices   We will challenge how most organizations approach security with next generation topics and best practices. From the perimeter to the core, we will cover concepts to help prepare your organization to stop advanced threats and data loss prevention. Opening discussions will cover the evolving threat landscape with a focus on advanced persistent threats, zero day vulnerabilities, and unknown malware. Diving deeper we will discuss hot topics, to include SSL decryption, segmentation, automation, and integration. John Petersen, Palo Alto Networks Systems Engineer, CISSP John Petersen has over 22 years of technical experience and is passionate about information and cyber security. His past careers have been diverse but always focused on information technology. Before he was 21, John was consulting small businesses and joined the Air Force as lead network engineer for 911 services, stationed in the Azores. He spent a few years working at a VAR focused on SLED sales and the majority of his career has been with Symantec.

Dinner Meetings are generally the second Tuesday of each month.
