ISACA LA is dedicating our October meeting to the 20th anniversary of Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002 with a discussion of the history and evolution of SOX, as well as how it is interpreted today.
Members of the RSM International business and IT Audit teams will jointly present their methodology as it relates to their internal audit project coordination, planning, execution, and reporting.
Key learning objectives include:
1. The history of SOX, its evolution, and its relevance today
2. The comprehensive project plan needed to properly scope IT applications based on business risk
3. Collaboration needed during the execution/testing phase to validate whether ITGC and ITAC controls are in place and operating effectively
4. Concluding and aggregating deficiencies based on business risk
