2012 Fall Exam Cram Course

Program Objectives

This program is to assist candidates in preparing for the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) examination. This examination requires intensive study of the subject areas included in the common body of knowledge of information systems auditing. The candidate is expected to demonstrate their proficiency in all areas required for the certificate.

The two, all‐day sessions on Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2 are not Intended to provide the basic introduction to IS audit practices. The candidates should have proper educational background in all of the subject areas. The Cram Course sessions are designed to provide an overview of the five domains that comprise information systems auditing and to clarify the more difficult material.

The sessions will include lectures and discussions with time for questions raised by the participants.

NOTE: For best results, this course should used as an additional resource to the ISACA
study materials and local chapter review courses (where available). Please note that
there is no guarantee that completion of the course will ensure passage of the examination.

Meet Our Instructors

REVIEW INSTRUCTORS

Carrie Fiks – Domain 1, CISA, CRISC is IT
Compliance professional with over 13 years of

experience in Compliance, Regulatory audits and
Systems Security in both the medical and

entertainment industries.
Thomas Phelps IV – Domain 2, CISA, a Director
in the Advisory Services practice of
PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is a frequent speaker
on IT security areas, and has co‐authored two books
and several white papers. Thomas is a Past President
and Director of ISACA LA. Also, Thomas previously
served on the Chapter Support Committee of ISACA

International.
Shu Chi Liou ‐ Domain 3, CISA, is the PeopleSoft
Environments Lead and Security Administrator at
Pepperdine University. She is an IT professional with
over 10 years experience in change management,
project management, and working with PeopleSoft

products.
Eric Read – Domain 4, CISA, CISM, CGEIT is an
Associate Director of Regulatory Audit and

Compliance at UnitedHealth Care, where he has
managed regulatory audits and provided compliance
oversight since 2005. In addition to working in audit & compliance, Eric’s IT background includes software
development, network architecture and project

management.
Mike O. Villegas – Domain 5, CISA, CISSP,
GSEC, CEH, QSA, PA‐QSA is the Director of Quality
Assurance at K3DES LLC. He has over 30 years’
experience in IT Audit, Information Security and IT
Risk Management. He is the immediate past
president of the LA ISACA Chapter. He is also past
president of the San Francisco Chapter of ISACA.

Participants will be provided a conference call

There will be short breaks throughout the day, and

Manual will not be provided as part of the review

class and must be purchased directly from the

www.isaca.org Bookstore. Purchase is not

mandatory but highly recommended. Class

preparation will benefit from reading the domain

(chapter) material prior to each class session.
