Dear ISACA Member: At our annual general dinner meeting, we will have Cheryl Santor as our moderator on a forum discussing “IT Trends – Big Data and Small Devices”. For our pre-meeting, we will have Janice Riblet moderate an “IT Audit Directors’ Forum.” Please plan on joining this great educational experience and to take advantage of the opportunity for networking! Annual General Meeting Dinner Topic: Forum on IT Trends – Big Data and Small Devices Cheryl Santor, Information Security Manager Metropolitan Water District of Southern California

Topic Abstract: This will be a panel discussion on IT trends moderated by Cheryl Santor.

Bio: Moderator     Cheryl Santor, Information Security Manager at Metropolitan Water District of Southern California Cheryl Santor, CGEIT, CISM, CISA, CISSP, with over 24 years experience in Information Technology and Information Security. A member and past president of ISACA LA Chapter, an organization that serves Compliance, Risk Management, Governance, Security, and Audit professionals. Member of ISSA ( Information Systems Security Association) and FBI Infragard, serving on the board and as a Water Sector Chair. Involved with the Industrial Controls Joint Working Groups for securing Industrial Control Systems. Instructed Computer Forensics at UCLA for an Information Security Certification program that she assisted in starting. Panelist     David Melnick, CIPP, CISA, CISSP, National Principal in the Security, Privacy and Data Protection Practice at Deloitte LLP. David is the author of the cyber-security book “PDA Security: Incorporating Handhelds into Your Enterprise.”     Stan Stahl, Ph.D, President of Citadel Information Group and the ISSA-LA Chapter President. An information security pioneer, Stan has secured teleconferencing at the White House, Top Secret databases inside Cheyenne Mountain, the communications network controlling our nuclear weapons arsenal and other very high-threat high-risk information security challenges.     Tolga Gesli, Solution Architect, Vertica Corp. Tolga has extensive experience with Relational Databases, Ecommerce Applications, Data Warehousing, and Big Data Analytics. Prior to Vertica, he managed the Global Gaming Platform development at RealNetworks’ Gamehouse division and later architected their big data analytics platform.

Pre-Dinner Topic: IT Audit Directors’ Forum Janice Riblet, IT Audit Director Southern California Edison

Janice Riblet, IT Audit Director at Southern California Edison, is the chairperson of the forum. This forum is intended for IT audit directors and managers only. Topic: Social Media. Janet Zhu and Abbas Salehmohamed will moderate this session. Janet Zhu, MSBA, CISA, CIA, is VP and IT Audit Manager, and Abbas Salehmohamed, MBA, CISA, is AVP and IT Auditor–both at City National Bank. While the social media revolution has flattened communication hierarchies and promoted more collaboration than ever before, it has also introduced a multitude of risks that organizations did not have to mitigate until the recent past. In this session, we will discuss several key risks that accompany adoption and usage of social media for business and in the workplace, and outline approaches to reviewing social media practices through discussions on key audit considerations.
