Patrick Hynes, Principal, PwC
Mr. Hynes is a Principal in PwC’s Cyber Crime and Breach Response practice. He and his team help clients investigate breaches and system compromise by either external parties (state sponsored; organized crime, etc.) or through insider threat. He also helps clients prepare for breaches by increasing board and executive awareness, evaluating and enhancing detect and respond capabilities, and helping clients assess the current vulnerabilities in their environment that puts them at risk for a successful attack.
Mr. Hynes has had significant involvement in the breach response and investigations of many of the highest profile retail, health insurer, entertainment industry and casino breaches of the last 36 months. Patrick has more than 20 years of information security and forensic investigation experience, and is a frequent speaker at industry and professional conferences and events. He also advises leading boards and has conducted education and training for current and future board members on cybersecurity risks, and the specific obligations and responsibilities of boards around cybersecurity.
He is a contributing author of the book Responding to Targeted Cyberattacks. He also serves on the advisory board for the USC Viterbi School of Engineering digital forensics and cybersecurity programs as well as serves as a mentor and advisor for up and coming forensic and cybersecurity students. |

Nada Noaman, Director, PwC
Ms. Noaman is a Director in the commercial security practice at PwC. As a thought leader in strategic cyber security and management consulting, she helps lead the Southern California Cybersecurity and Privacy practice and spends her time advising Fortune 50 clients on developing and enhancing their information and cyber security programs. Her information security consulting experience has been spent leading large and small teams for the Advisory Services Cybersecurity & Privacy practice in both private and public sectors. After spending 3 years leading the Washington DC Cybersecurity and Privacy practice, she relocated to the west coast to help build the west coast based cyber technology practice. Her areas of expertise include security strategy, security program development, security operations and incident response strategy. She brings much of her cybersecurity expertise from over a decade of experience in the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), and international NGOs.
Ms. Noaman often makes strategic recommendations and shares emerging trends with Board of Directors leadership and C-Suite audiences in Fortune 500 companies and to the United States Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (US SSCI). She also advises technical teams in security engineering and security operations centers (SOC), application development, and IT infrastructure. She has served in roles as a key investigator and cyber response lead in a major fraud and cyber attack, as well as multiple cyber breaches resulting in data exposure. Among her accomplishments, Ms. Noaman spearheaded the development of several new security service offerings and led an Intelligence Agency through a major cyber attack during Operation Iraqi Freedom, receiving a Meritorious Individual Award and medal for her leadership during the breach.
She spends her free time teaching and supporting women’s leadership activities and women in STEM programs, as she chairs the practice’s Women’s Network, leads a local Lean In Circle, volunteers for Earn your Future and Junior Achievement, and also spends her free time developing a non-profit organization geared toward preparing and mentoring millennial women transitioning from high school through college and into the workplace. At PwC, Ms. Noaman is passionate about people, where she chaired the Washington Advisory Council leading initiatives building our community, enhancing our brand, and developing staff professionally. |
