2022 ISACA CommunITy Day

ISACA chapters and staff are exemplifying our purpose, promise, and values with a day of service around the world. Not only can we help individuals realize the positive potential of technology, but together, we can help people realize the positive potential of ISACA’s global society.
On October 1, 2022, we welcome you to join the ISACA community as we participate in the third annual worldwide day of volunteerism. ISACA members, staff, and other engaged community members around the world will make a difference in their communities through community service within this 24-hour period, all while using a live social media feed and #ISACACommunITyDay to track local volunteer projects.
The Los Angeles Chapter is hosting two community service events. We are excited to invite you to sign up for one or more events using the volunteer sign-up tool, Helper Helper. Attendance is tracked using this user-friendly tool so ISACA can track the larger impact we are making around the globe. Those participating in the in-person event will receive an ISACA CommunITy Day t-shirt (size is entered when creating a new Helper Helper account). Visit Community Day for more information

OCTOBER 1ST COMMUNITY EVENTS
- PACKAGES FOR THE TROOPS
IN-PERSON EVENT
| For The Troops sends care packages to military personnel throughout the world to let them know we thank them for their service. Many do not have basic items out in the field, such as toothbrushes and paste. Those receiving packages share with others where everyone in an area receives small items of gratitude. Help package items in boxes to send to our deployed troops in the world. |

We will meet onsite at the non-profit’s HQ to pack care boxes for our troops stationed and working outside of the United States. These care boxes consist of basic items that we take for granted that are not always readily available for troops stationed outside of the US. For those attending in-person, please bring a box of items, preferably travel sized, based on the troops’ wish list here: |

- SUPPORTING LOCAL YOUTH
IN-PERSON Event
| Join the chapter as we set up an in-person event to volunteer with a non-profit to support underprivileged and abused children in LA. We will support their annual Halloween party for 20-25 impacted youth in the LA metro area. As part of our event, we will have fun activities, such as pumpkin painting and other festive games. The LA chapter will provide 25 pumpkins to support the event! |
| We will work with Olive Crest, which is a non-profit charity headquartered in Southern California dedicated to preventing child abuse by strengthening, equipping, and restoring children and families in crisis One Life at a Time. |

By attending this event, the registrant grants permission to be photographed during the event. The resultant photographs may be used by ISACA for future promotion of ISACA’s educational events on ISACA’s web site and/or in printed promotional materials, and by attending this event, the registrant consents to any such use. The registrant also waives any right to inspect or approve the aforementioned use of any photographs now or in the future.
