ISACA Los Angeles January Webinar
``Driving Digital Transformation with Sustainable Technology``
Tuesday, January 9, 2024
Technology has had a substantial impact on environmental and social sustainability. Technology leaders and teams want to have more control and influence over improving sustainability, but it is often considered someone else’s problem to solve. However, CEOs and company boards will fail to meet their sustainability commitments without information technology as an essential enabler and driver.
Technology leaders and teams can drive digital transformation with sustainability. They have a prime opportunity to be key players in the transformation of not only their own IT functions, but their enterprises and their industries.
As with any enterprise digital transformation initiative, a sustainability initiative can be overwhelming in scope and challenge. This presentation will provide an overview of the three pillars of sustainability: environmental, societal, and governance. It will also discuss how technology leaders and teams can jumpstart or accelerate their sustainability journeys with education, tools, frameworks, and community. The tools and frameworks include a Capability Maturity Model-based set of standards for metrics and reporting, which enable transparency and accountability.
